The ingredients needed to make Squid/Calamari Masala:
  1. Prepare For Marination :
  2. Prepare 500 gms squid rings
  3. Get 1 tbsp ginger garlic paste
  4. Take 1 tbsp Lemon juice (1/2 lemon)
  5. Prepare 2 tsp red chilli powder
  6. Take 1/4 tsp Turmeric powder
  7. Get to taste Salt
  8. Get Other ingredients :
  9. Get 2 tbsp coconut oil
  10. Get 3 " finely chopped ginger
  11. Make ready 2 tbsp finely chopped garlic
  12. Prepare 8-10 curry leaves
  13. Take 2 medium onions finely chopped
  14. Take 2 medium tomatoes finely chopped
  15. Get 2 slit Green chilli
  16. Get 1/2 tsp red chilli powder
  17. Take 1/2 tsp Black pepper powder
  18. Get 1 tbsp Lemon juice
  19. Take 2 tbsp freshly chopped Coriander leaves for garnishing

Steps to make Squid/Calamari Masala:
  1. Add all the ingredients under marination section. Mix well. Leave it for 15-20mins
  2. Heat a pan. Add oil and wait for it to get heated.
  3. Add ginger and garlic. Saute for a minute.
  4. Add curry leaves and green chilli. Fry for few seconds
  5. Now add onions. Add some salt and fry till transparent
  6. Add tomatoes and fry till mushy
  7. Add the marinated squid to this mixture. Add red chilli powder. Mix well.
  8. Cook for 5-7mins. Don't over cook as it will turn rubbery.
  9. Once squid is cooked. Turn off the flame. Add pepper powder and lime juice. Mix well
  10. Garnish it with Coriander leaves
