The ingredients needed to make Sweet & Sour Pork (Chinese):
  1. Take Pork Prep & Marinade
  2. Make ready 1 kg Cubed Pork Loin
  3. Get 3 Tbls Soy Sauce
  4. Get 1 Tsp Baking Soda
  5. Take 1 Tsp Salt
  6. Make ready 6 Drops Red Food Colouring
  7. Make ready Sweet & Sour Sauce
  8. Take 1 Cup White Sugar (200g)
  9. Get 2 Tbls Corn Flour
  10. Prepare 2 Pinchs Salt
  11. Take 1.5 Cups Water (270ml)
  12. Make ready 1 Tbls White or Apple Cider Vinigar
  13. Prepare 2 Tsp Soy Sauce
  14. Make ready Vegies for Sweet & Sour Sauce
  15. Prepare Half Tbls Minced Garlic
  16. Get Half cup (1Lge) Carrot - Angle sliced
  17. Get Half Onion cut into wedges
  18. Take Half cup 3colour Capsicum - thinly sliced
  19. Get 2 Pinapple Rings cut into pieces
  20. Take Pieces Batter & Deepfry Pork
  21. Prepare 3 Eggs
  22. Prepare 2 Cups Plain Flour
  23. Prepare 1 Ltr Oil (Deepfry)

Steps to make Sweet & Sour Pork (Chinese):
  1. Pork - Cut & Cube (1 inch sq) and Add into a ziplock bag with the Pork Marinade ingredients. Refrigerate overnight or for at least 3hrs to tenderise the meat.
  2. Sauce - Add Ingredients into a medium saucepan on high, wisk whilst bringing to the boil. Once boiled it will become clear & thicken. Once this happens remove from stovetop & set aside.
  3. Fry Vegies & Combine with Sauce - add a splash of peanut/evo Oil into hot frypan/wok. Add Garlic cook off, add Carrots, Capsicum & Onion sweat down a little, then add pineapple. Fry for a minute then add Sweet & Sour Sauce and simmer on low to soften vegies.
  4. Prep/Batter & Deepfry Pork pces - Heat Oil in Saucepan (350*). Dip pork into egg then cover in flour & repeat! Once all pork pieces are double dipped, add to Medium Heat stovetop, ladle into oil & pre-cook until 3/4 cooked, remove & drain excess oil onto paper towel. Redo pork pieces into Hot oil in batches until all double Deepfried.
