  1. Make ready 200 grams cottage cheese
  2. Make ready To grind into paste:
  3. Get 4 tomatoes
  4. Get 10 cashews
  5. Take 4 cloves garlic
  6. Take 1/2 " piece ginger
  7. Get 2 cloves
  8. Get 1 cardamom
  9. Prepare Other ingredients:
  10. Take 2 finely chopped onions
  11. Take 1 bay leaf
  12. Take 1/2 tsp cumin powder
  13. Make ready 1/2 tsp coriander powder
  14. Prepare 1/2 tsp red chilli powder
  15. Make ready 1/4 tsp garam masala
  16. Prepare 1 tsp kasuri methi (dried fenugreek leaves)
  17. Make ready 1/4 tsp sugar
  18. Take 2 tbsp butter/ghee
  19. Take 2 tbsp cream

  21. Make ready For garnish:
  22. Get 1 tsp ginger juliennes
  23. Make ready 1 tbsp chopped coriander

Instructions to make Paneer Lababdaar (restaurant style):
  1. Take all ingredients of paste in one pan, add about a half a cup of water and let it simmer till tomatoes are softened. Once it cools down blend it into a smooth paste, if needed add some water.
  2. Mix kasuri methi and garam masala and crush it with the hands. Cut paneer into small pieces and soak it in warm water. Spare some paneer, grate it and keep it aside.
  3. Heat ghee/butter, add bay leaf and saute few seconds and add onions, saute it till it becomes transperant.
  4. Add the prepared paste, mix and stir well.
  5. Add cumin powder, coriander powder and red chilli powder. Saute well till the oil separates.
  6. Add one cup of water, stir well and let it simmer for a while.
  7. Add salt and sugar and planeet, mix well then add grated paneer and cook for about one minute.
  8. Now add kasuri methi and garam masala mix. Cook for one minute.
  9. Lastly add cream and turn off the flame,mix well.
  10. Garnish with ginger juliennes and coriander. Serve with roti, chapatis or parathas.
